Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) specialty is based in Gainesville, Florida. This position involves providing advanced support in a hospital's cardiac catheterization laboratory environment. The role includes performing interventional cardiology procedures with a focus on congenital and adult patient populations. The assignment is a 13-week contract with a focus on clinical excellence in a fast-paced cardiac cath lab setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, working four days per week with overnight and weekend call coverage. The schedule totals 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications required include RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) at the time of submission. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiovascular Technology or Cath Lab is necessary. Candidates must have previous travel experience, and proof of Florida state license if ARRT certified. Peripheral experience preferred. No work history gaps over 30 days without explanation. Facility type, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, and bed count must be provided. At least one reference dated within the last 12 months is required. HCF issued scrubs are necessary.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Temp Pacers and structural procedures such as Watchman is preferred. Proficiency in PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), Impella, IABP (Intra-aortic Balloon Pump), interventional cardiology, and management of Heart Failure patients is essential.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This role involves supporting a lab that includes congenital patients across all ages from neonates to adults, with procedures including cath and electrophysiology (EP) care.
