Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist position located in Plano, Texas. The role involves supporting a cardiac catheterization laboratory within a healthcare organization, providing specialized technical procedures and maintaining patient safety. The position is scheduled for the dayshift, with rotating on-call and holiday responsibilities.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license for nurse position or RCIS/RCES certification for technologist position; ACLS and BLS certifications; candidate must have at least 3 years of Critical Care and Catheterization Laboratory experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EP and Peripheral Vascular procedures, ability to monitor procedures in MacLab, and experience with heart cath, PE/DVT thrombectomy, PVS, TEE with CVNs, Lexiscans, EP studies, ablations, and implants.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The unit features two cardiac catheterization labs with a team of eight staff members, including nurses and technologists. The typical patient-to-staff ratio is three-person team per patient for heart cath procedures, with TEE/CVN procedures staffed on a 1:1 basis. The unit operates within a medical city facility on the second floor of Tower A. Personal qualities such as flexibility, dependability, and teamwork are highly valued. The role involves adherence to unit policies, scrubs attire in royal blue for nurses and ceil blue for techs, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. On-call duties include rotating weekends and holidays.
