Job Summary:
This is a Speech Language Pathologist inpatient position in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The role involves providing inpatient speech therapy services within a facility that manages a diverse patient population, including neurological and trauma cases. The position is suitable for licensed professionals eager to contribute to patient recovery and safety in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Licensed Speech Language Therapist in Nebraska; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers credential; no experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with neuro (stroke, TBI, Parkinson's), trauma, post-intubation cases, cognitive evaluations for home safety, and swallow studies is preferred.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing a caseload of 7-10 patients daily, with a mix of acute care and inpatient rehabilitation cases. The facility operates on low/mid/high performer expectations; performance will be regularly reviewed. The position requires weekly coverage from Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage depending on operational needs. The EMR system used is Epic.
