Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within a Level I trauma center. The technologist will provide specialized care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ensuring quality patient outcomes and adhering to procedural standards.

Job Details:

• Shift: 4x12-hour days (0630-1900) on days, with the possibility of a flexible schedule; no IR procedures are required.
• Schedule: 48 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience, active Illinois license, ACLS, BLS, ARRT certification, and RCIS certification required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cardiac Implant Closure Devices, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations in adults, IABP Placement/Removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, PCI, PTCA, right and left heart catheterizations, Rotablader atherectomy, and sterile technique.
• Certifications: ACLS, ARRT (R or preferred ARRT R), BLS, RCIS (either CCI RCIS or ARRT R preferred).
• On-Call: Yes, call required as needed, rotating with staff and agency; call frequency to be discussed.
• Float: No; clinician will not float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Additional Information: The role requires Cerner charting system experience, procedural responsibilities including equipment setup and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, infection control practices such as isolation precautions and sterile technique, and care specific to middle and older adult patient populations. Orientation includes 36 hours to be completed prior to start, with compliance requirements to be met within one week of signing.
