Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) is needed in an adult intensive care unit within a healthcare facility located in Omaha, Nebraska. This position involves providing general floor and ICU-level respiratory therapy, including familiarization with electronic charting systems and ventilator management. The assignment begins on August 10, 2026, and offers evening shifts to support patient care needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, active AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, ARRT or CRT license, minimum of 2 years of clinical floor experience or 1 year of ICU experience, High School Diploma (to be submitted during compliance process).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC computerized charting system.
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit notes include non-billable orientation hours (12 hours of orientation, days 0800-1600).
    • The facility does not accept local candidates; there is a 100-mile radius restriction.
    • No overtime billing until after 48 hours worked per week if picking up extra shifts.
    • Employee will be floated to different floors/departments based on need, with assistance available as needed.
    • Training includes hospital and department orientation; first week of three 12-hour shifts with a preceptor, followed by a transition to 8-hour evening shifts after 2-3 weeks.
    • Shift time: 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required.
