Job Summary
Radiation Therapist in Merced, California. This position involves providing radiation therapy services in a radiation oncology unit with a focus on utilizing radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, simulators, dosimetry, and block cutting. The role offers a standard Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend, no call, and no float requirements.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, with shifts from 07:30 to 16:00, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Therapeutic Radiology license; current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) certificate; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; demonstrated skills and knowledge of radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, simulators, dosimetry, and block cutting; minimum of 3 years of radiation therapy experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 weeks or 3 shifts for less than 13 weeks. The clinical environment is an acute care setting. The charting system used by the organization is Cerner.
