Description

Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist - Tucson, AZ. This position involves performing prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to department and facility policies, assisting in patient assessment and treatment planning, and ensuring safety and compliance with radiation safety standards. The role requires collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift with 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a strong knowledge of clinical care as normally obtained through an Associate degree in radiation oncology or related field. Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable. BLS certification required. Must be knowledgeable of clinical techniques, applications, and equipment relative to the area of work. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, and be safety conscious.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous radiation therapy experience preferred. Additional related education and/or experience are advantageous.
  • Additional Information: Performs radiation therapy treatments by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Operates treatment and treatment planning equipment, prepares and maintains accurate documentation, and ensures compliance with radiation safety practices. May provide guidance to students and support staff, maintaining a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors.
