Description

Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) is positioned in the District of Columbia, specializing in pediatric, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and adult emergency room (ER) and critical care settings. This role involves providing respiratory care by prescription of the physician, including diagnostic evaluation, management, education, rehabilitation, and patient care for those with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. The position requires a versatile skill set across various care sites utilizing advanced technology and treatment protocols.

Job Details:

  • Location: Washington, DC
  • Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RT), valid RRT license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications, at least 2 years of pediatric, NICU, adult ER, and critical care experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric, NICU, and adult emergency room and critical care experience
  • Additional Information: Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. Candidates must possess pediatric, NICU, and adult ER and critical care experience. No experience requirement is specified beyond the 2-year experience threshold. This position involves applying technology and protocols across a variety of care environments, including mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, and pharmacological interventions related to respiratory care.
