Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Washington, District of Columbia. This position involves a night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, supporting pediatric, neonatal intensive care, adult emergency room, and critical care patients. Candidates must possess pediatric, NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), and adult emergency room and critical care experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT License), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support). A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with pediatric, NICU, and adult emergency and critical care.
• Additional Information: Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility. The respiratory therapist administers respiratory care by prescription of the physician, including diagnostic evaluations (such as obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system), management, education, and patient rehabilitation. Responsibilities include application and monitoring of medical gases and environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures, cardiopulmonary rehab, and hemodynamic cardiovascular support.
