Job Summary:
Polysomnographer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota this outpatient sleep lab position involves performing diagnostic sleep testing, including PAP therapy titrations, and supporting patient care through setup, monitoring, charting, and equipment management. The role requires collaboration within a team, adherence to clinical protocols, and flexibility to float between units.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, Sunday through Thursday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts may include split shifts and will not always be consecutive.
  • Required Qualifications: Sleep Technologist trained with a minimum of 1 year experience, RPSGT certification, and BLS certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric sleep testing experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to over units/departments.
  • Additional Information:
    • Located in the lower level of a clinic off campus from the main hospital, with secured entrance and parking outside.
    • All patients are cared for with a 2:1 tech-to-patient ratio, except for patients younger than 3 years old, for whom the ratio is 1:1.
    • Data collection may involve limited scoring duration.
    • The department uses electronic medical records via the EPIC system.
    • The position requires badge-in and badge-out procedures at the facility.
    • The team will undergo modified EMR training plus one shift of orientation with another sleep technician.
    • No cafeteria is available on-site.
