Description
Job Summary:
The profession is Pharmacist with a specialization in Inpatient services, located in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves working closely with the Clinical Trials Pharmacy (CTP) team to dispense research medication to subjects enrolled in clinical trials, ensure compliance with protocols, oversee medication handling, and provide drug information to healthcare professionals. The position is scheduled for day shifts, Monday through Friday.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing; no minimum experience listed, but minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with investigational drugs and clinical research protocols is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The pharmacist will oversee the safe handling and preparation of investigational sterile and non-sterile medications, review protocols and amendments, ensure compliance with state and federal laws related to pharmacy and investigational drugs, and act as a liaison between the Clinical Trials Pharmacy and other departments. This role involves reviewing patient medications for appropriateness and potential interactions, supporting sponsor monitoring visits and audits, and fostering a culture of safety in accordance with departmental policies.
