• Required Qualifications: Graduate from an Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) accredited school of cytotechnology or an organization approved by Health and Human Services. Must meet CAP (College of American Pathologists) qualifications for the Cytotechnologist position. Cytotechnologist (CT) certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is required. Associate degree is mandatory; a bachelors degree is preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Cytotechnologist. Knowledgeable of all aspects of the cytotechnology department. Ability to screen an average of 60-80 slides per day, with diagnosis within one grade of Pathologist or Consultant diagnosis.
• Additional Information: Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility. Registration in the Colorado public health system may take up to two weeks. Ensure correct Social Security Number and Date of Birth in Medefis to prevent onboarding delays.
