Description
Job Summary:
The Illinois-based healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist for a high-volume acute care hospital. The position involves performing advanced MRI procedures, including Abdomen, Head and Neck, Musculoskeletal, Chest, Cardiovascular, and spine imaging, within a Level I trauma center setting. The candidate will work a three-day, 12-hour shift schedule, Friday through Sunday, with a start date of 08/24/2026.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience in MRI, ARRT-MR certification preferred, Illinois license active and in hand at the time of submission, must have at least 2 years of experience performing Abdomen, Head, Neck, Musculoskeletal, Chest, Cardiovascular, and Spine MR procedures.
- Additional Skills and Experience: Experience with Cerner charting system, Level I trauma experience preferred, must be familiar with advanced MRI techniques including MRA, MRV, MRCP, and other specialized imaging procedures such as CINE, Diffusion, and perfusion imaging.
- Certifications: ARRT-MR preferred, BLS certification required, AHA certification preferred.
- On-Call and Float: On-call as required; no floating within scope unless otherwise specified.
- Pending License: Accepted; license must be active in Illinois prior to start.
- Special Requirements: Expertise in Abdomen, Head and Neck, Chest, Musculoskeletal, and Spine MRI procedures; proficiency in Cerner charting system; familiarity with trauma center operations and advanced MRI techniques.
- Schedule Requests: Discussed with manager; flexibility in block scheduling possible.
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
- Additional Notes: Candidate must arrive in Illinois at least 3 business days prior to the start date for fingerprinting and compliance requirements; for those roles not requiring licensure at submission, arrival is 3 business days before start for fingerprinting.
