Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient position in STOCKBRIDGE, Georgia. This outpatient therapy role involves assisting with implementing treatment plans and patient education to support long-term rehabilitation goals. The role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and the delivery of high-quality outpatient orthopedic care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: College degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school; CAPTE certification; CPR certification; active license for the state of Georgia; 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience; outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics; previous assignment with the organization is highly desired; familiarity with therapeutic modalities and assistive device training.
- Follow all facility guidelines regarding personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, balance exercises, manual therapy, and functional skills training.
- Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices, demonstrating safe guarding techniques.
- Demonstrate and instruct on use of modalities including whirlpools, ultrasound, iontophoresis, therapeutic pools, and others.
- Monitor patient responses and document progress, patient and family education, and participation in care.
- Maintain clean treatment areas, adhere to safety and infection control protocols, and utilize equipment safely.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff, collaborate with healthcare team members, and participate in quality improvement projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
