Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with inpatient specialty at a critical access hospital located in North Dakota. This inpatient role involves serving patients across all age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, through assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. The position emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration with PT, OT, and Audiology departments, providing comprehensive care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Location: North Dakota, ZIP code 58401
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break; 40 hours guaranteed per week unless requesting time off or during holidays
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS; minimum one year of experience performing swallow assessments, video fluoroscopy, and caring for patients of all ages; active license with the ability to submit license; willingness to wait for license approval
- Preferred Qualifications: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and North Dakota licensure
- Additional Information: This role involves floating mainly within outpatient departments, with occasional inpatient coverage and rare home health visits. Clinicians will work primarily with the outpatient department but may provide occasional inpatient care based on unit needs. The initial onboarding period includes a one-week departmental orientation. The department has a dedicated team with minimal staffing, requiring the clinician to work independently at times, with no on-call requirements.
- Charting System: EPIC and TIMS used for video fluoroscopy documentation
