Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Clinical Specialist in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves performing complex diagnostic invasive procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to aid in the evaluation of various pathological entities. The position requires expertise in vascular procedures, patient preparation, contrast media administration, and operational proficiency with imaging and physiological monitoring equipment.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Monday - Friday with a call schedule. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks.
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; must maintain required hours of continued medical education; Healthcare Provider certification (BLS); registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with the advanced registry in one of the following: Cardiac-interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-interventional Radiography (CV); one year of experience in interventional vascular procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Additional Information: Candidate must have IR vascular experience and Epic electronic medical record experience.
- Certifications & Licenses: Must maintain a Healthcare Provider certification (BLS) and be registered with the ARRT with the advanced registry in one of the specified areas.
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Must also complete ongoing medical education hours.
- Skills & Experience: Computer skills, patient preparation, medical history collection, contrast media preparation, medication preparation, IV solution preparation, diagnostic invasive procedure assistance, sterile equipment setup, physiological monitor operation, patient positioning, safety practices, pressure injector operation, imaging equipment operation, supply management, patient condition assessment, radiation protection principles, PACS image management, RIS study indexing, clinical protocol review, quality assurance procedures, medical record documentation, radiology information system documentation, and imaging technique determination.
