Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Madison, Wisconsin. This is a high-acuity assignment working with both pediatric and adult patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center. The role involves providing specialized respiratory care, including aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and mechanical ventilation management, within a dynamic interdisciplinary team.
Job Details:
- Shift Details: Nights, 8/12-hour shifts, 1900-0730, 2300-0730, 1500-2330, with some holidays and every other weekend rotation. One on-call shift every six weeks.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS, CRT, RRT, WI RCP license. Education: CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy school; NBRC RRT; Two years minimum as a staff therapist preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric and adult respiratory therapy experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates must pass strict pass/fail testing, including telemetry examinations, with two attempts available. The test evaluates identification of lethal rhythms and specific heart block questions. The assignment is located at a Magnet-designated facility ranked Wisconsin's #1 hospital, a leading teaching hospital and referral center.
- Location: 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792. Parking permit required through UW Transportation.
