Job Summary
The Mammographer position is based in Reno, Nevada, within a busy, fast-paced facility serving a broad regional area. This role involves producing diagnostic mammograms, assisting radiologists and physicians with mammographic procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The position offers an opportunity to work in a Level 2 trauma environment with advanced imaging technologies, contributing to critical diagnostic services in a high-volume setting.

Job Details

  • Shift: Days, with a schedule rotating from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The schedule varies based on departmental needs, and may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts.
  • Schedule: M-F; 8-hour shifts; minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified in American Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nevada State License (must have before start date), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A minimum of 2 years of Mammography Technician experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in high-volume or trauma settings is advantageous.
  • Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to different areas based on organizational needs and their competency level. The candidate must work 2 or 3 major holidays and may be asked to pick up additional shifts during the schedule period. The hospital environment is extensive, serving a 500-mile radius, with a significant patient volume that requires adaptability and proficiency in advanced imaging equipment.
