Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Outpatient in Worcester, Massachusetts. This position involves utilizing evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions for patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders. The role includes providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under the supervision and guidance of an Occupational Therapist, with responsibilities that encompass assessments, treatment administration, patient and family education, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license or registration as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, one year of Occupational Therapist Assistant experiencepreferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facility settingsLevel II experience or equivalent, and active state licensure or registration when applicable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with outpatient populations and participation in healthcare team meetings.
- Additional Information: The Occupational Therapist Assistant will assess patient progress, communicate treatment outcomes, and support supervision and training of students under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist. The role requires adherence to professional practice acts, ethical standards, and clinical guidelines. Responsibilities include documenting all clinical and regulatory information accurately, participating in required meetings, and collaborating with the supervising Occupational Therapist to manage supplies and DME as needed.
