Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatrics is needed at a healthcare facility located in Blacksburg, Virginia. This position involves providing respiratory care services in a dynamic, patient-centered environment within a 76-bed hospital unit that includes ICU, Chest Medical Unit, and Medical Surgical beds. The role offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and a highly engaged team in a facility recognized for excellence and innovation.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); one year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; Virginia State license or appropriate regulatory credential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
- Additional Information: The unit utilizes PB840s and 980s, Phillips V60s, and Hamilton c-1s equipment. Documentation is managed via MEDITECH system. The unit maintains a high level of staff engagement, with flexible scheduling options and a supportive culture, making it a desirable assignment for travel professionals. The start date for this assignment is 09/07/2026.
