Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care for neonatal patients within a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role requires evaluating and implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and educating families, with an emphasis on neonatal respiratory support.
Job Details:
- Location: Indianapolis, IN 46260
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Basic Life Support (BLS) credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 1 month of hire or transfer; high school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience, Associates degree, or Technical degree; at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Equipment used includes Servo N ventilator, Bunnell Jet Ventilator, 3100A Oscillator, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and Optiflow.
- Work environment features a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 109 neonatal beds, serving critically ill neonates requiring advanced respiratory support.
- This role requires every third weekend commitment.
