Description
Job Summary:
The specialty of EEG Technologist Registered is currently seeking a qualified professional to perform sleep studies and electroencephalogram procedures in a clinical environment. This position involves conducting sleep assessments, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring the quality of recordings, with an emphasis on patient safety and protocol adherence. The role is located in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3rd shift, approximately 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Tuesday, totaling 30 hours per week, with a 13-week assignment.
- Required Qualifications: High school education required; must be separated from previous employer for at least 6 months; at least one year of sleep lab or EEG experience preferred; registration or registry eligibility in EEG Technologist is preferred; Epic experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior sleep lab experience and certification or registry in EEG technology.
- Additional Information: Performs polysomnography including EEG, EOG, EMG, EKG, and ventilation monitoring; able to titrate CPAP/BIPAP and administer O2 therapy; recognizes and responds to abnormal physiological events; calibrates and evaluates equipment; participates in continuing education and quality improvement activities; maintains effective interactions with colleagues and patients; adheres to organizational policies and behavioral expectations; demonstrates competency in technical skills and customer service standards.
