Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (Occupational Therapist Inpatient) - Washington, D.C. A healthcare organization is seeking a qualified occupational therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit. This role involves delivering comprehensive occupational therapy services by performing detailed clinical assessments, developing age-appropriate care plans, and documenting patient treatments effectively. The position supports an interdisciplinary team environment, emphasizing quality care and responsiveness to changing work assignments. The shift is scheduled for daytime hours, with a standard workweek of 40 hours.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited American Occupational Therapy Association (A.O.T.A.) school, licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state, minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience, BLS certification, effective verbal and written communication skills, current Delaware County (DC) license
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited A.O.T.A. school, additional certifications such as OT specialty area training
  • Additional Information: The candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility and demonstrate the ability to perform comprehensive evaluations, develop treatment plans, document patient progress accurately, and adapt to dynamic work assignments in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
