Description
Job Summary:
X-ray Technologist position located in Wenatchee, Washington. This role involves providing radiologic imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The technologist will perform various imaging examinations, collaborate with radiologists, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 17:30, Friday through Monday.
- Required Qualifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification; Washington State certification as a radiologic technologist, registered in X-ray; Shimadzu portable experience; recent C-arm or fluoroscopy experience; EPIC electronic medical record system proficiency; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; call required.
- Job Functions:
Prepares for and performs all x-ray examinations including but not limited to routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable procedures.
Understands and operates all x-ray room, portable equipment, and operating room x-ray devices. Develops, initiates, and monitors scanner procedures for effective utilization.
Reviews and evaluates diagnostic images for technical quality.
Assists radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures; may perform minor fluoroscopic procedures under current radiology technology certification.
Supports clinical instructor and provides direct training and supervision to student technologists.
Utilizes PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), RIS (Radiology Information System), and EMR efficiently; completes required paperwork for each examination.
Complies with all continuing education requirements mandated by regulatory entities.
Lifts patients safely and transfers patients using ergonomic techniques and patient handling devices.
Communicates effectively with patients' family members or caregivers when necessary.
Applies principles of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable), Image Gently, and Image Wisely to ensure safety and quality.
