Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an MRI Technologist in Stanford, California. This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients using high field strength magnets and related equipment. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for obtaining high-quality images, ensuring patient safety, and assisting in training radiology students and residents. The role requires collaboration with radiologists and participation in imaging protocols to support accurate medical diagnoses.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift; 12 hours shift time; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program or Radiologic technology program; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; one of the following certifications: ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, or ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, or CRT - California Certified Radiology Technician.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of MRI physics, protocols, and safety principles; ability to troubleshoot equipment; effective communication skills; team-oriented mindset; familiarity with PACS systems and ancillary imaging equipment.
- Additional Information: The MRI Technologist will assist in training radiology staff, perform MRI procedures, evaluate image quality, and maintain necessary documentation. The role requires safe patient handling, accurate positioning, and adherence to safety standards and protocols.
