Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) role located in Tucson, Arizona. This position involves planning and implementing patient-centered occupational therapy treatments in a hospital setting, emphasizing safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality patient care. The therapist will evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, supervise assistants and students, and participate in discharge planning to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid, current State license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: The occupational therapist will assess patients upon physician orders, plan and execute appropriate treatments, supervise assistants and students, and actively participate in team conferences and discharge planning. Responsibilities include completing documentation, ensuring safety protocols, and supporting patient and family education. Flexibility in scheduling and demonstrated safety awareness are essential.
