Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist position is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This role involves operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce diagnostic images, adhering to established protocols, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team. The assignment requires at least two years of current MRI experience and specific certification, with a schedule of eight-hour shifts during daytime hours.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Required Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of current Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) experience
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR) Certification
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Massachusetts residency or work authorization required
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with GE equipment
  • Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings as needed
  • Willingness to take call as required
  • Must have own vehicle
  • Perm address must be included in the traveler profile
  • All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be included in the profile; RTO requests after upload will not be approved
  • No more than five days of RTO will be accepted, with fewer preferred
  • All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; facility will not approve requests after the offer
  • Must include work history and skills checklist
  • Current MRI experience required within one year prior to assignment
  • Required documents: Supervisory signed reference (from past two years), ARRT (MR) certification, BLS certification
• Notice:
  • Berkshire Health System will not consider any traveler residing within 50 miles of the facility. To avoid delays in processing, ensure perm address is included at profile upload.
  • The department is always staffed with at least two Tech Aides or MRI Technologists; they never work solo.
  • After midnight, coverage is by call.
