Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is located in Puyallup, Washington. This role involves providing specialized support in a well-equipped Cath Lab within a Level III Trauma Center. The technologist will perform diagnostic and interventional cases, supporting a busy department with a diverse case load and state-of-the-art technology, ensuring quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
- Position Type: RT(R) Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist
- Specialty Name: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
- Shift Details: 10-hour shifts, with schedules potentially alternating between 0600-1630 or 0700-1730, depending on call requirements.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, with rotating days off each week. Weekend rotation includes call duty once every 6th weekend, with no sleep room available but access to the Admit/Recovery unit if needed.
- Start Date: 09/08/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS Certifications, ARRT or RCIS License, WA State Licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting specializing in diagnostic/interventional procedures such as LHC/RHC, NSTEMI/STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave, temporary pacers, peripheral diagnostic/interventions, loop recorders, Micra, pacemakers, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with monitoring during cases, scrub experience, and familiarity with the equipment used such as GE Alea C-arm, EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Picom PACS, and Merge hemodynamic systems.
- Float: Possibility of floating to Auburn Cath Lab (15 minutes away) once per week; will know in advance if required and will float at most once per week.
- Support on the Unit: Includes scheduler, charge nurse/lead tech, respiratory therapy staff available 24/7, hospitalist coverage 24/7, intensivists, cardiologists on call during daytime, and RRT and Code Team availability.
- Technology/Equipment: Familiarity with EMR (EPIC), hemodynamic systems, and cath lab equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Orientation: First day dedicated to NEO with MHS; subsequent training in the department. Buddy call option during the first week is available; independent call during second week.
- Additional Notes: Scrubs are provided with extended sizing options; parking is free in the garage. The department values positive attitude, flexibility, and teamwork.
