Description
Job Summary:
Polysomnographer in Salida, Colorado. This full-time night-shift position involves performing sleep studies in a sleep laboratory setting, including polysomnographic procedures, data acquisition, and analysis. The role requires ensuring patient safety and comfort while collecting high-quality data to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, totaling 36 hours per week. May include some holidays and occasional weekends to cover patient volume or staff absences. Rotating weekends may be required.
- Required Qualifications: Successful completion of a polysomnography program at a state licensed or nationally accredited educational facility, or completion of an AASM A-STEP program, with documented proficiency in all required competencies. Current BLS certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NOX software is helpful. Familiarity with sleep lab procedures such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test, Maintenance of Wakefulness Test, and PAP titrations is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The role involves preparing and calibrating equipment, applying electrodes, performing electrophysiologic calibrations, fitting PAP masks, scoring sleep and clinical events, generating accurate reports, and complying with safety and infection control standards. The technician must demonstrate effective communication and social skills and maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
