Job Summary
The Pharmacist specializing in inpatient care is based in Tucson, Arizona. This position involves the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceuticals within an acute hospital environment. The Pharmacist will collaborate with physicians on medication management, educate staff and patients, and ensure medication safety compliance. The role requires working overnight shifts and providing exceptional pharmaceutical services in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/26/2026.
- Required Qualifications: AZ Pharmacist License; Inpatient acute hospital experience; 2 years recent hospital pharmacist staffing; Board Certified and/or accredited pharmacy residency (preferred but not required), Sterile compounding experience.
- Schedule: 7 Nights On / 7 Nights Off, from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., working Wednesday through Tuesday.
- Required Qualifications: ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Additional Information: The environment is clean, smoke-free, well-lit, with frequent exposure to video display and keyboard use. The role may involve occasionally irregular hours, emergency care, and exposure to clinical stressors, including accidents and injuries. The position involves independent work, managing multiple projects, and collaborating across disciplines to achieve positive patient and operational outcomes.
