Job Summary:
The Bronx healthcare provider is seeking a registered dietitian for a day shift position. This role involves monitoring patients' nutritional needs, providing education on food and drug interactions, and collaborating with physicians to modify diet plans as necessary. The position requires recent in-patient experience and offers a dynamic environment focused on patient-centered nutrition care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, 37.5 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: - Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition. - Registration by the Commissions on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian. - New York State Certification issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Dietitian-Nutritionist for post-acute locations. - Minimum of 2 years of experience required. - Additional credentials such as Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) are highly desired.
• Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree. - AHA BLS certification.
• Experience: At least 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with a minimum of one year focusing on nutrition assessment and education.
• Credentials: Valid registration with the CDR and NYSED certification; AHA BLS certification preferred.
• Additional Information: This position requires weekend and holiday work, typically involving one or two weekends per month. The role involves patient screening, dietary assessment, menu modification, and education on food and drug interactions. Interviews may be conducted via Webex or in person.
