Description
Job Summary:
Cytologist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position involves performing cytotechnology duties, including slide preparation and analysis, in a fast-paced laboratory setting. The role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in cytotechnology to support patient diagnostics and laboratory operations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift hours with 8 hours per shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 12 years of experience in cytotechnology, experience with EPIC laboratory information system highly preferred, Sunquest experience highly preferred, ASCP (CT) or equivalent Cytotech certification required, must be a graduate of a Cytotechnology program, and able to prepare 50-60 slides per day (up to 300 slides per week).
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Additional Information: Candidate must be able to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays including the 4th of July and Labor Day unless the unit is closed. Work history must include at least 12 months in cytotechnology. Skills must be specific to cytotechnology disciplines. A drivers license is required.
