Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in pediatrics in Ottumwa, Iowa. This position involves providing respiratory care to diverse patient populations, including adults, geriatrics, and possibly micro-premies to hospice. The role requires neonatal and pediatric experience, working primarily during overnight shifts with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Iowa license in hand at the time of submission; 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RT); BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications; neonatal and pediatrics experience; Criminal background check and Child Abuse clearance completed; Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult); drug test including a 10-panel screening with opiates.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Float: May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility.
- Additional Information: This is a contractor replacement position at a regional health center serving Southeast Iowa. The facility has 75 beds and utilizes equipment such as Voscin ventilators and V60 bipaps. The role includes working with adult, geriatric, and potentially micro-premie to hospice patient populations.
