Description
Job Summary:
The Ultrasonographer Echo position is located in Northampton, Massachusetts. This role involves operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform comprehensive cardiac imaging, including M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). The candidate will work within established departmental protocols and report to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer. The assignment is scheduled for day shifts, with potential for rotation and extension.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 5 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with Saturdays possible to rotate with staff if required. Shifts are scheduled during daytime hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in radiology or equivalent certification, RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification, current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification, at least 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Philips ultrasound equipment, experience with TEE, TTE, Stress echo, Lumason, bubble studies, and proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system. Ability to start IVs is a plus.
- Additional Information: The position involves operating Philips ultrasound equipment and performing advanced cardiac scans, including bubble studies with Lumason. Experience with TEE, TTE, stress echo, and starting IVs is highly preferred. The candidate should be able to independently perform a wide range of cardiac imaging procedures and adapt quickly to the workflow.
