Description
Job Summary:
Histologist position located in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves performing histology laboratory procedures including specimen processing, embedding, cutting, and staining of slides. The position requires adherence to laboratory protocols and supports pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry departments within the facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Friday
- Required Qualifications: No minimum experience required; must have successfully completed a formal histology technologist training program, or possess an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences. Experience in pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty in a pathology laboratory environment.
- Additional Information: The position requires working two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve). The assignment duration is 13 weeks, starting on 08/24/2026. The histology lab is located within the 993C building.
