Job Summary:
The ultrasound technologist specializing in echocardiography is sought for a full-time position in a clinical/cardiology setting in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role involves performing transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, analyzing images, and collaborating with cardiologists to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, Monday through Friday, with on-call duties, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree; current ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or CCI ( Cardiovascular Credentialing International) registration; BLS certification; 0 years of experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: Perform echocardiograms according to physician orders and department protocols. Prepare patients and ensure their comfort, operate ultrasound equipment, analyze acquired images, and maintain proper documentation. Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols. Participate in quality assurance activities and in continuing education to stay current with echocardiography advancements.
