Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Florence, South Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including evaluations, treatments, patient education, and procedure assistance. The position requires the ability to operate ventilatory equipment, perform diagnostic tests, and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) Registered certification, associate degree or higher in respiratory therapy, located in South Carolina, with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric respiratory care.
• Additional Information: Performs routine and emergent respiratory procedures, monitors patient responses, conducts diagnostic assessments such as chest X-rays, EKGs, and pulmonary function studies. Assists with procedures including bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, tracheostomy care, and arterial puncture. Operates and maintains ventilatory equipment, performs CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines, and documents treatment data accurately. Communicates effectively with medical staff, maintains equipment, and ensures proper documentation.
