Description

Job Summary:
Hawaii. The Radiation Therapist position involves independently performing a variety of radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aides in accordance with physician prescriptions and instructions. The selected candidate must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles over the life span, assess patient data, and interpret information to meet age-specific patient needs. Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and ARIA electronic medical records is required. The role demands the ability to treat 25-30 patients per day across all treatment sites within a comprehensive cancer center.

Job Details:

Location: 1190 Waianuenue Avenue, Hilo, HI 96720
Shift: Rotating shifts, with work on weekends and holidays
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certification and licensure include a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (T), BLS certification, and a Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist. Candidate must have at least 2 years of progressive imaging technologist or specialist experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency on Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and ARIA electronic medical records.
Additional Information: Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday. It is essential that candidates are available to begin on the specified start date.
