Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasonographer Echo located in Naples, Florida, performs diagnostic echocardiography procedures with a focus on pediatric cardiac anatomy and congenital defects. This role involves producing high-quality imaging, managing operational duties, and collaborating with off-site cardiologists to ensure timely and accurate patient care. The position requires minimal supervision and is suitable for candidates with a strong background in echocardiography, particularly within pediatric populations.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with occasional weekends and on-call responsibilities.
  • Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; accredited cardiovascular technology program, echocardiography program, or Associates degree emphasizing natural sciences; or 10 years of experience as a Registered Echo Sonographer. Must be registered as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with a specialty in Cardiology, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer; and hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with demonstrated scanning ability is required. Must have knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology; competency in Pediatric Views and Pathology; computer proficiency; and ability to operate medical imaging equipment effectively.
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, working 40 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional floating between campuses and participation in call rotation.

  • Additional Information: The position involves performing transthoracic echocardiograms, utilizing Doppler techniques, assisting with procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and maintaining accurate documentation and patient records.
