Job Summary:
MRI Technologist - New York, NY. This position involves operating and preparing specialized magnetic resonance imaging equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. The role requires applying technical judgment to obtain high-quality images in accordance with department protocols and patient needs. The technologist will also educate patients, evaluate images, ensure safety protocols, and maintain departmental standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, Tuesday through Friday 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology; New York State License (L.R.T.); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified); 0 or more years of MRI experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Performs MRI imaging procedures, positions patients and coils, provides patient education, reviews safety questionnaires, labels and evaluates images, ensures timely transmission and documentation in Radiology Information System, maintains cleanliness and supplies, reports equipment issues, assists physicians, calls in-patients, performs clerical duties, adheres to safety and infection control guidelines, and maintains licensure compliance. Attends in-services and professional development meetings, with other relevant duties as assigned.
