Description
Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist in California This position involves operating x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images according to physician prescriptions. The role includes positioning patients, preparing equipment, monitoring safety, and documenting procedures. The position is represented by SEIU.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift times, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) certification; Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment; Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification.
- Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment and examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging, monitors patient safety, produces diagnostic images, and documents exam information. Verifies exams on PACS and reports pertinent information to physicians. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in operating O-arm systems or in operating room settings is preferred.
- Additional Information: All associates are required to receive all mandated vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter. The organization participates in E-Verify.
