Description
Job Summary:
X-ray Technologist Clearlake, California. This position involves working closely with the Director of Imaging and Radiologist to supervise and perform radiographic examinations. The role contributes to the efficient operation of the radiology department while ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. The position is not exempt and requires adherence to professional standards to support department functions and patient safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift; Tuesday through Friday; 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM; minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist) certification, California CRT license, BLS certification following American Heart Association guidelines, fluoro permit (within 6 months of employment start date)
- Able to maintain a positive professional manner when dealing with individuals and situations, including stressful or difficult circumstances
- Capable of organizing and maintaining good follow-up and working independently with minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- The physical demands include frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, sitting, walking, standing, and repetitive hand motions; ability to occasionally lift or transfer patients up to 50 pounds
- Potential exposure to blood and body fluids is categorized as Category 3, involving no direct procedures or tasks that routinely expose employees to blood or body fluids
Preferred Qualifications:
- One to five years of experience as a staff technologist preferred
- Cross-training experience and familiarity with hospital-wide quality assurance
- Knowledge of patient flow, record keeping, and equipment troubleshooting
Additional Information:
- Assists physicians with imaging procedures, patient transport, and department functions
- Attends staff meetings and continuing education programs
- Maintains and troubleshoots radiology equipment and PACS
- Participates in On-Call assignments and department schedule changes as needed
- Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance with regulatory agencies
