Job Summary:
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Worcester, Massachusetts. This role involves evaluating, rehabilitating, and providing treatment for patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. The position focuses on developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of Speech-Language Pathologist experience; new graduates are acceptable provided they have Level II clinical experience and have not only completed Level I observation. Must hold a valid Massachusetts State License and be CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)-certified as an SLP. References from at least one previous supervisor or colleague are required at the time of submission.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings.
- Able to effectively screen, evaluate, and provide rehabilitation services for patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
- Document all patient interactions, progress, and treatment outcomes accurately in the electronic health records system, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings.
- Support supervision of clinical fellows (CFYs) or student Speech-Language Pathologists when applicable.
- Maintain adherence to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state-specific practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standards.
- Able to obtain any necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies in accordance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
