Description

Job Summary:
Vascular Sonographer position available in San Luis Obispo, California. This role involves assisting with echocardiography procedures, including vascular studies, on adult and neonatal patients. The position requires performing advanced cardiovascular imaging techniques, interpreting data, and providing quality patient care. The selected candidate will function as part of a dedicated healthcare team within a well-established organization.

Job Details:

  • Location: San Luis Obispo, California
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certificate or license as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT); Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasonographer (RDCS) or equivalent; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Two years experience as a vascular sonographer or completed a certified vascular sonographer course; Two years experience as a cardiac ultrasound sonographer or completed a certified cardiac ultrasound course; One year experience as a fetal echocardiography sonographer or completed a certified fetal echocardiography course; Valid license/certification as required by the organization.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric cardiac sonography and fetal echocardiography.
  • Essential Functions: Performs M-Mode with calculations, 2-D procedures with necessary views and calculations, Doppler echocardiography with analysis on adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Conducts peripheral vascular procedures including arterial Doppler, venous Doppler, segmental pressures, ankle-arm index, and carotid ultrasound. Performs tilt table exams, treadmill testing, 24-hour Holter monitoring, and pharmacological studies. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular imaging techniques and mentors staff as needed.
  • Additional Information: This position involves assisting with a variety of diagnostic procedures for adult and pediatric patients, with a focus on vascular studies and echocardiography. The role supports organizational commitment to safety and requires vaccination compliance.
