Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatrics (PEDS) in Cleveland, Ohio. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, including evaluating patients, administering treatments, operating ventilatory equipment, performing diagnostic tests, and assisting with respiratory procedures in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality patient care with minimal supervision and collaborating closely with the healthcare team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license, applicable education, and 0 or more years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric patients is favored.
- Additional Information: Performs routine and emergent respiratory procedures including ventilator management, aerosol therapy, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, arterial punctures, EKG, pulmonary function tests, and assisting with advanced respiratory procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placements. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots ventilatory equipment, and ensures proper documentation and communication. Maintains compliance with all policies related to laboratory testing, infection control, and patient safety. Performs CPR in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines and manages emergency airway procedures when needed.
