Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient therapy for a facility located in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing speech language pathology services within an acute care and inpatient rehabilitation setting. The assignment offers a rotating schedule with day shifts, including weekends, and is suitable for candidates with a strong team-oriented personality.
Job Details:
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Position: Speech Language Pathologist (Inpatient)
- Schedule: Days, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, 4 to 10-hour shifts, rotating to include weekends
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, start date as soon as possible
- Required Certifications: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience: 0 years minimum required
- Qualifications: Must have or be able to obtain FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) and MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study) credentials; must have Alaska state fingerprinting and background check clearance; candidate should be a team player and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Type of Staff: Day shift preferred, with weekend and on-call rotations including weekend-heavy schedules
- Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 175
- Number of Staff: 11 SLPs (3 full-time, others PRN)
- Equipment utilized: FEES, MBSS, EMR system - EPICTypical procedures performed include speech and swallowing assessments.
