Description

Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an inpatient rehabilitation unit located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The role involves providing speech therapy services to neonatal patients in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The position requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support infants less than 36 weeks gestation, addressing feeding and congenital disorders, among others.

  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology (BLS), Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), advanced training in infant feeding, a minimum of 3 years of experience including at least 1 year in NICU.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certified neonate therapist, experience with Bayley 4 assessment.
  • Certifications and Licenses: BLS, CCC certification through ASHA.
  • Skills: General speech therapy in the NICU, feeding therapy for fragile feeders, strong communication skills, collaborative work with interdisciplinary teams, neuroassessment for preemies.
  • Support & Environment: Constant support from nursing staff, other speech-language pathologists, occupational therapist team, on-site provider team.
  • Technology & Equipment: Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system (EPIC), infant video assessment tools, FEES (Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) as a bonus.
  • Orientation: Up to 5 days of Neonatal (NEO) orientation prior to start.
  • Floating: No floating required.
  • Additional Notes: Hospital provided scrubs, free parking, dedicated NICU office space, and a collaborative unit culture that includes an integrated NICU team and on-campus workout facilities.
