Description

Job Summary:
The Radiology Technologist (RT) position is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves providing direct and/or indirect patient care in a busy imaging department, utilizing expertise in radiologic procedures to support diagnostic imaging services. The RT must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and possess the ability to assess patient data to determine appropriate imaging needs, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, Shift M-F 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (one day off varies); work Fridays; no set schedule
  • Equipment: Siemens, Philips, Epic, and Xper
  • Location: 1751 Gunbarrel Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37421
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Graduate of an approved ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) radiologic technology program
    • Knowledge of general radiology principles and practice skills
    • Knowledge of organizational functions, policies, and regulations
    • Knowledge of current trends and new developments in the cardiovascular arena
    • Current Tennessee Board licensure
    • ARRT Certification
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is preferred and highly encouraged after one year
  • Additional Information:
    • No specific equipment or clinical tasks beyond imaging procedures are detailed. The role requires flexibility with work hours and an understanding of emergencies related to radiologic procedures.
