Description
Job Summary:
Radiology Technologist (RT) in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position involves providing direct and/or indirect patient care within the radiology department. The RT must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan and possess the ability to assess patient data and interpret relevant information to identify patient requirements based on age-specific needs, in accordance with the units policies and procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm; no fixed schedule, with Fridays on call.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) radiologic technology program; knowledge of general radiology principles and practice skills; understanding of organizational functions, policies, and regulations; familiarity with current trends and new developments in the cardiovascular arena; valid ARRT certification; current licensure from the Tennessee Board; BLS certification completed before arrival and maintained; current ACLS certification; current PALS certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in cardiovascular procedures within a Cardiac Catheterization Lab; Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification is highly encouraged after one year.
- Experience: 2 years of related clinical experience.
- Hours: 10 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Start Date: 08/24/2026.
- Technology and Equipment: Epic electronic medical record system; equipment includes Siemens, Philips, and Xper systems.
- Location: 975 East Third Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37403; and 1751 Gunbarrel Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37416.
- Additional Information: The candidate will work in a dynamic environment requiring adaptability and teamwork. No equipment not specified is used in this role.
