Description
Job Summary:
Polysomnographer (Sleep Disorder Specialist) in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role involves performing sleep studies and administering treatments for patients with sleep disorders, including CPAP, oxygen, and Bilevel therapy, utilizing specialized equipment. The position requires working a guaranteed 36 hours per week over three nights, with a focus on thorough patient care and department collaboration.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour overnight shifts, three nights per week, with no weekends or holidays required.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of two years of related work experience in the Sleep Disorders field, ND Respiratory Care License, Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) certification via BRPT, BLS Certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with sleep testing equipment including Natus XLTEK sleep testing devices and Resmed PAP machines; familiarity with EPIC One Chart EMR system.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes a week of work with day sleep technologists to familiarize with the department's workflows, policies, procedures, and equipment. The technologist will learn to operate sleep testing software and hospital layout, and will be supported during initial testing rounds before working independently.
- Other Requirements: Must badge in and out at the facility, wear gray scrubs, and hold ND licensure. This location does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles. Clinicians must not have worked for the organization within the past 6 months.
